THE SENSIBLE SOMEWHERE - 2008-07-25

Following on from the recent success of 'This is for you' Paul Roberts' collaborative show. We asked fellow collaborator Simon to bestow upon us his personal offerings;

Simon Peplow lives within a delicately constructed vortex. He spends the majority of his days downloading information from a tiny cabin situated inside the Corpus Callosum region of his noggin. Characters are a fundamental part of his work, described by some as whimsical, cute and sinister in equal measures. He just wishes they were his friends. Simon is co-founder of The Outcrowd Collective, together they have exhibited work in London, Barcelona and Hong Kong. When Simon isn't busy tripping out, he finds time to illustrate for a number of clients including, Carhartt, Suburban Bliss, Modart, Stranger, Anorak, The Illustrated Ape, PlanB, The Artists Guide & Lodown magazine.

Projekts is proud to present his latest work specially created for this exhibition and as usual we're inviting all our friends to join us for an opening party to kick the exhibition of and show Si some Manchester Hospitality. See you there!

AXEL BOTTENBERG - 2008-02-07

Projekts MCR in association with the ImiTate Gallery presents an exhibition of skateboards, paintings and video by Manchester based artist Axel Bottenberg. Originally from Germany , with a punchy penchant for insane ideas Bottenberg's works bolt together a dizzying array of imagery incorporating both classic and contemporary iconography in a technically brilliant visual 'mashup'.

Projekts skate shop & gallery provides the work with a unique platform as the artists latest work utilises skateboards as mobile canvases for his images.

There will be a private view for all our friends in the gallery on Edge street from 7-9pm on the 7th Feb. (Refreshments provided).

The show continues till Sunday 6th april
