Manchester Skate Club – Coming Soon?

Following the success of the Summer Skateboarding School that we hosted this summer, we’ve had a number of requests from parents of young children to host a regular, weekly skateboarding club, after school on Wednesdays.

The club would focus on coaching beginners to a standard that they would be able to confidently skate during the standard sessions. Other ideas include having the Projekts Skate Shop at the park on those evenings, selling skate product.

The Projekts crew have had a chat about it and think the idea is good. At the moment we know it’s very difficult for beginners to access the park because of the high number of experienced skaters using the park each evening. By having a two hour slot for beginners each week, we can give them the chance to get use of our facility, too. But we want to know what you think.

Our plan is to run two separate hourlong beginner sessions on Wednesday evenings from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. The first session would be a free taster and subsequent sessions would cost £2.

Hi i think this would be a great idea, my lad is 10 and has been going to the park with his friend for a few weeks now, he absolutely loves it, the guys who run it are great, friendly and they do an amazing job and my lad has already learnt so much, but i feel he would really benefit learning how to skate with kids of his own ability, this is a wonderful idea and i’ll definately be putting my lads name down along with his mate..

Yes, you can still go. It’s for beginners and intermediates. If you fall into either of those categories, you’re truly welcome indeed.
